“Debbie brings a spectacular set of skills and a wealth of experience to the modern business (and other) communication process. Educated in literature at Stanford, wizened by the tough standards of Broadway in New York, and brightened in spirit by the warm people of Nebraska, she is ready and willing to tackle any challenge with enthusiasm and optimism, coupled with a good dose of reality and common sense. I have seen her draw on her experiences with celebrities to inspire the everyday people to excel at even the most mundane public talk. Likewise, I have seen her talk truth (politely) to powerful figures who seem more enamored with their words than anyone in their audience. Ever present and always prepared, she teaches me something every time we speak. A jewel of a person and a resource to treasure!”

Stanford University Graduate School of Business

As part of its new 2007 curriculum, Stanford Graduate School of Business created the Mastery Initiative in Communications, matching every first year student to a writing coach. Based on student evaluations, Deborah Denenberg was the top-rated writing coach for five out of six years.

Hassebrook for Governor

Hassebrook for Governor

“I had given approximately 1000 speeches prior to running for Governor and worked with leading trainers. But the coaching I received from Deb Denenberg during my campaign helped me overcome a barrier that had hindered my speaking for decades. She enabled me to improve. And Deb was more than a speech coach. She became a trusted adviser who participated in the process of choosing Jane Raybould as my running mate.”

— Chuck Hassebrook

Chuck Hassebrook, the 2014 Democratic Gubernatorial candidate for the State of Nebraska, brought his message to the campaign trail. Deborah Denenberg coached his public speaking and helped prepare him for televised debates.

“What terrified me the most when campaigning for Lt. Governor was failing to use the techniques Deb taught me in being clear and concise in delivering my message. Deb provided the confidence in effective speaking skills that I use today in both my business and political life. To this day I can still visualize the bullet point issue summaries. Thanks Deb!”

Modern Woodmen of America sponsors an annual national speech contest for grades five through eight. Deborah Denenberg coached the writing and performance of Danny Oscar’s speech, including helping him choose his topic. The prompt was “a national landmark,” and Danny’s speech was about a haunted Broadway theater, the Bellasco. Danny won his district and state tournament, and went on to win the national championship from an original field of 90,000 entrants.
